現在リリースされているJayBird2.1.6から、Firebird2.5のバックアップ・リストア操作を行うことはできない。 これはFBBackupManagerクラスが正しく動作しないせいだが、その上位のFBServiceManager自体が正しく動作せず、これを継承するクラスはすべて動作しない。この件はhttp://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Firebird-Java/message/10383に記述がある。

JayBirdのリポジトリ自体には、改良されたバージョンが存在するようだが、なぜか全くリリースが行われない。
